What Would You Change?

Hi,

I hope this finds you well. How has your January been so far? Quite cold I'm guessing? It's been a very interesting month for us at InnerRhythm Coaching - six of our coaching hours was for our charity donation with four more to go next month, and our website has got much better and has a new location at www.coachkavit.com Thanks to those who donated as well as took up the coaching sessions.

In the last newsletter, I asked for people to send in any random acts of kindnesses they have undertaken, and quite frankly, I was overwhelmed by the number of responses I received. Carlos said, "The other day my wife and I went to the bank to get some cash out and we saw a guy sitting on the floor by the entrance asking for money. After coming out of the bank I ask my wife to come with me to the shop next door, bought a sanwich and a bottle of juice, went back to the bank and offered it to him saying a few words. Well, I tell you that the smile on his face made me so happy!" Thanks Carlos!

Admist the reality and rush of today's world, we find it difficult to actually "monitor" our progress as to if we are developing the way we want to, and if not, what are we doing towards it. I'm also quite sure that you think you're not perfect, and there are things you may want to change in your life to ensure you are living the life you want to.

Your probably nearly there, and have a few things to do to living the life you desire. Take a moment to have a think - if you could change one thing in your life right now, what would you change?

I'm so eager to know because I'm going to offer two free coaching sessions (worth £120) to the person who can explain to me why they really want to make the change they are after and that's what we'll focus on in the sessions. Read the instructions and terms below.

Change is really important if you are going to improve and do what you want in your life. Have a read of the article below on change. If you are a musician, your change could be about getting rid of performance anxiety. Check out my top 5 ways to demolishing performance anxiety. Also, make sure you check out part 2 of building a child's confidence - it's awesome!

Just to leave you with a final thought... "Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around."

As always, thanks for your support :)

Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life!

You want to take a big step to the next level, don't you? You want to reach a big goal; you want to increase your income; you want a breakthrough that transforms your life - not just makes it a little better...

You need one thing – read on...

Life is amazing – that’s all I can say! The reason life is so amazing to me is this – I have control over everything in life (except death) – but I can decrease the likeliness over it happening soon by enjoying life to the max. Even now, while I write this article, I see my whole physiology changing as I begin to change my thinking to more positive, empowering beliefs.

Unleash Your Potential In life, we have direct control over our thoughts and this ultimately determines how we experience life. There’s a Buddhist proverb that goes along the lines of “thoughts are things. As you think, so you become.” Get It? In other words, if your thinking “I wish I was a multi-millionaire like him,” then you have put yourself in the state of mind of wishing – not having. If you say, “I am becoming a multi-millionaire like him by increasing my sales,” then you have put yourself in the state of mind of doing and having!

So do you see the difference here? When you continually wish or should or could, your focus is not on achievement, but on “attempting” achievement. Using terms such as “I am, want, need, must…” are present tense and action orientated. It’s doing and having.

Do you know of someone who appears to have the perfect life, family, a beautiful home and an amazing career? Yet, if this person is filled with any negative thoughts, he or she is unable to enjoy what life has to offer. Would this person be focusing on what is missing or what is perceived as incorrect? Who should be the one to inevitably judge what is incorrect?

Have you got a situation in your life when it’s all hunky dory and great, yet when some harming or negative thoughts interrupt, you seem to change your attitudes and beliefs?

The good, in fact, outstanding news is that regardless of the circumstances, you can choose how you appear or react in a situation just be altering or changing your thoughts. It is entirely up to you to choose how you are, be it loving, caring, funny, lively, confident, unstoppable, etc?

How would you like to be?

The next time you find yourself caught up in negative thinking, stop right there! Don’t let it carry on and beat you up inside – especially when you know the secret to getting rid of it! Stop, and recognise what is happening to you. Ask yourself...

How is this negative thinking helping me? Am I willing to let something beyond my control consume my thoughts and ruin my day? Is there something I can do about this to make it better? How can I turn this negative thought into a positive one? What will I do now?

Success is the way you think about things and the words you choose. Renowned psychologist Dr. Wayne Dyer says, "When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change." This means you have to alter your perceptions, thoughts and words.

Changing your thought patterns must be repetitive to be effective. You just can't change your mind once and expect permanent results. Every time a negative thought enters your mind, acknowledge it, then find a positive one to replace it. Now this won't always be easy, but it can be done. You can be as conservative or extreme as you like.

"Whether you think you can, or think you can't, you're right." – Henry Ford

Top 5 Ways To Demolishing Performance Anxiety

Do you want to be like this? Have you ever found yourself performing on stage and the person in the front row is tapping his feat and you wonder whether you're maintaining the beat? As you are looking around, do you see a few people whispering and chatting away to each other? Do you get worried what they are discussing? Perhaps your image isn't right - your hair has moved out of place, or if you're singing, your voice is a little croaky. If you're wearing a trouser, do they see your zip undone? Maybe they are discussing how strangely your talent is showing through? Or are they commenting on what you've missed out?

Perhaps you make several mistakes and your students, teachers, parents, partners are watching. What are they going to say later? Are they going to be very disappointed? Do you think about the rest of the crowd - will they demand their money back? Your hands are sweaty, shaking, and cold - it's all visible from afar! Are you sure this is really what you are meant to be doing?

Stop there! Are you feeling like this? Have you ever felt similar to this? First of all, let me make it clear that you're not alone. Performance anxiety exists with so many people from various professions to various levels. It all begins when our mind wanders and loses the concentration that you need.
